painted squad of ????
These are 20 soldiers( sorry forgot manufacturor) that a friend of mine painted for me. They are actually quite large for 15mm, actually standing about 20mm. The figures are very nice, made even better by the fantasticpaintjob by Jason- TMP/ SAXON DOG.I feellikkemy camerawork really does an injusticeto this paintjob. Only two poses , but they remind me a little of Battletech troopsfrom the game battletroops- it must be the guy wth the shoulder SRM. and their helmets are very beaky, which isgreat.
These 20 guys will see service as maybe a mercenary band of tall aliens.

xcom snakemen color test
hey, 5 Critical mass games snnake mercenaries painted as XCOM snakemen.
not really my choice of color, but I wanted to be true to the look of the video game.
I am thinking of using hex bug nano habitats for alien ship interiors.
As far as Xcom sectoids, I plan on using Khurasan new alien greys;
Chrysallids will probably be Khurasan plutonians. I still need to figure out for floaters and ethereals
and the normal xcom trooper(3 stages depending on jumpsuit/armor/power armor)
GZG for small drone tanks, Khurasan deathroids, and/or new scout disk for Cyberdisk
any suggestions for Mutons, and zombified xcom troopers/civilians
These guys were a rushed paintjob(no wash /hilites)
For rules, I was considering FUBAR FPS variant or maybe ae bounty, suggestions?

Kermit the Llurgh
Finished my first squad of Khurasan's excellent Llurgh. I only took closeups of each individual pose, of which there are six, including the leader with sword raised and the tricranial mutant. These are excellent figs, sculpted by Whiffwaff(if I remember correctly), and a joy to paint. I had to go green on these guys and I feel they are a cross between Kermit the frog and the original Dungeons and Dragons TROLL. I only have 4 squads of these guys to paint up (small raiding party or mercenary band) complete with 4 Llurghwagon semi armored personnel carriers I crafted( see a prior blog post). Cant wait for the Khurasan control battalions.

Blue Moon Orion Republic Heavy Infantry
Hello, just a few pics of my finished squad of Blue moon Orion Republic Heavy Infantry.
Really like these guys, just did a simple 3 color paint job with a wash for speed( Did a test version of blue/white grey camo due to Spacejackers' excellent camo on his, and I liked the way it turned out--but I opted out of the camo in favor of simplicity and speed.
what I like is the 10 unique poses....I trimmed a little off their antler backpacks and gave the heavy weapons guy , a frame harness for his BFG, little like aliens colonial marines swing mount( its just a paperclip)
all in all very fun squad to paint- had one more pic of 3 guys that the blog elementals devoured

Vleta Reavers squad
Hello, just a few updated pics of my
squad of Vleta Reavers moving thru some rubble. These are my favorite figures from Blue Moon's new galactic war range, and were extremely easy and enjoyable to paint. Will post a few more pics in next post.

color test Vleta Reaver
just a quick color test for Vleta Reavers from Blue Moon, only 99 to go. wow, cant say enuff good stuff about these minis. Overall some of the choices in this range are too pulpy for me , but the Vleta Reavers are a big win. 10 unique poses per pack They feel like a cross between GW termagaunts, and a cyclops from an old Sinbad movie. Going with a light brown-too much green lately

Khurasan Felids

Just a quick look at my first squad of painted Felids by Khurasan. This is a light battle circle and comes with 10 minis-3 rifle poses in triplicate and 1 seargent with comm headset. I really enjoyed painting this squad- probably because I did it quick and sloppy. Trying to find a nice method that is still fast and yet looks sufficient for the tabletop. I went with a simple green, and an even simpler Lion face
Well, I should have about 8 more squads and 2 APC's coming in the mail
