It's robots!

Hello, first post in over a year....had to give up my hobby room for my grandson's nursery....but now I am back.unloaded everything from storage and began painting. Decided to start on some projects for skirmish gaming, going to concentrate on post apocalyptic theme, using the great free rules wasteland 3.0 from dicehead. Just finished a 10 man warband of wasteland explorers, an 18 man band of cannibal savages, and a 23 unit group of aotomated robot warriors.
 First off, will be the robot war band.....currently not listed as an option in wastelands 3.0, but luckily I still have an early print version of the 2.0 rules....so,still a viable option. I can also use these as robot squad assets in grunts for my EHTC force. The figures are from critical mass games, blockhead battle suits...fun,easy paint ups, inspired by Elysium homeland security robots.

more 15mm AE BOUNTY

Hello, just a few little mercs for AE Bounty, most are critical mass games, 2 are a mishmash of CMG and Khurasan

a few headswaps

hello, just a few fun headswaps. using 2 packs of minis, a mercs pack from critical mass games (yrdgs?) and a pack of Khurasan little green martians from their planet 15 range. I have no idea what made me do this but I rather like the results. Now i have some unique aliens for possibly AE Bounty. The taller model would make a good Logician from that game(huge cranium/psychic powers). the smaller stature aliens are pretty cute and the unfinished one at the top made me think of 15mm Grymn.

Squamata Imperialis Heavy Support

Hello,
here we have the heavy support arm to my Squamata Imperialis army.
In the top picture for size comparison are; a super heavy walker; 2 heavy walkers; a dreadnought; and a lowly infantryman
In the 2nd pic are my 6 heavy walkers lined up with an infantryman
In the 3rd pic are my 3 super heavy walkers next to an infantryman
and the 4rth pic shows detail of an infantryman and a squad attached dreadnought.
the super heavy walkers are not finished detailing, but you get the idea where this army is going.
it will consist of 6 squads of 14 infantry; 6 dreadnoughts; 6 heavy walkers(equal to medium/heavy tanks);
3 super heavy walkers( equal to super heavy tanks); and 6 combat wombat bullfrog landers for the infantry(still waiting on those)
my plan is that the bullfrog landers will each carry 14 infantry and 1 dreadnought to the hotzone
and the heavy and super heavy walkers can also fly into the hotzone( at least they could on gundam)
so all I need are my bullfrog landers and some fighting piranha decals and I am set.

size comparison

Just a quick size comparison, mainly to show the Squamata Imperialis model from Critical Mass Games.
The squamata trooper is in a nice red jumpsuit, his companions are an Octopod from 15mmUK; a snake mercenary from Critical Mass Games; and an armored NSL trooper from GZG.

xcom snakemen color test

hey, 5 Critical mass games snnake mercenaries painted as XCOM snakemen.
not really my choice of color, but I wanted to be true to the look of the video game.
I am thinking of using hex bug nano habitats for alien ship interiors.
As far as Xcom sectoids, I plan on using Khurasan new alien greys;
Chrysallids will probably be Khurasan plutonians. I still need to figure out for floaters and ethereals
and the normal xcom trooper(3 stages depending on jumpsuit/armor/power armor)
GZG for small drone tanks, Khurasan deathroids, and/or new scout disk for Cyberdisk
any suggestions for Mutons, and zombified xcom troopers/civilians
These guys were a rushed paintjob(no wash /hilites)
For rules, I was considering FUBAR FPS variant or maybe ae bounty, suggestions?

AE Bounty initial work

Just a few pics of some corridors I have been making for AE Bounty games in 15mm. This is one corridor, 20cm length, walls 30 mm height, useable width of corridor 45mm. I built out the shell with basswood, then cut up and glued pieces of plastic IMEX platformer, hexagon builder? terrain from my rather large bitzbox. I purposely left the corridor ends open, to either cap onto another corridor or room. Next step some rooms. I am planning small medium and large rooms, of I guess basic square and rectangular shapes.
You might not be able to see in the pics, but my mercenaries from Critical Mass Games have custom bases made from the same platformer plastic bits. My ultimate goal is to create one master of everything and cast a million copies( like I need another hobby).
I have done some casting years ago, and I suppose I will use the RTV mold, with legos as a support.I am leaning on using resin ,but I may try hydrocal light, although these walls may prove too thin for hydrocal.....any suggestions from the castiing community? I am planning on making 1 piece molds so the corridor/room will be complete when cast.

15mm combat drone walkers

Hello, just a quick unit painted up, 1 package of combat drone walkers from Critical Mass Games, can be found under their mercenary range. Very nice sculpting and detail. the Khurasan felid is their for scale purposes. These will have many uses....In AE Bounty, a hero trait is "Robotocist" ,whereby the hero controls 2 robot drones with fire capability. Also they will serve in my future droid army which will include Blockhead battle suits from Critical Mass Games, as well as Mechanoid troops and ships from Khurasan. I may even use them as proxies for GZG spider droids in the game Gruntz until I can order some.(may have to wait awhile...boo). I also envision them patrolling some scifi base or starport as security drones.
