4 wasteland survivors

Hi , here are 4 wasteland survivors ....3 are from khurasan, 1 from GZG , I think. The beefcake guy has a head swap from GZG and a khurasan pulse rifle added...he used to be the not Conan  model....always liked playing fallout with a ridiculous close combat beast like that, rushing in beating everything to a pulp.

Wasteland stalkers,explorers

Next up is a squad of ten explorers, scavengers of the wasteland. These are a combo, made from GZG
Gasmask head packs combined with khurasan Paraguayan squad from his Chaco wars range in historical minis. I really like the way these guys turned out, inspiration for this came from lead adventure minis range of post apocalyptic minis by ratnik.
So now I have at least one squad and two opponent squads for gaming wastelands..now I have to look at terrain

CRUSTIES ON DECK

Hullo, the Crusties are done! 48 crusties by GZG, painted for me by my friend,Jason, (TMP. SAXONDOG).
He always does a great job painting 15s for me, but i am especially pleased with this lot. nice earthones
on the uniforms, subtle shading/hiliting, and wonderful green contrast skin, and best of all, my tired old eyes dont have to strain
to paint them. Jason is also a fast painter, legend has it that he is able to paint while sleeping, multi tasking at its best.

gzg New Israeli plans

Hello, no pics this time. just jotting down my plans for my not yet started GZG NI army. It will be a mechanized infantry force; but I will be using true mechs instead of tanks.
For all my infantry support mechs, I plan on using 1/300 scale Gundam Zaku prepainted
(guessing they will be 55mm tall; still waiting from ebay) For my rare super heavy mechs, I will be using some 1/200 scale Zaku II(aboout 85mm tall). Have not considered apc's yet.
In keeping with the prepainted models, the color scheme will be 2 tone; light pale green/dark green.
plan---
prime infantry with thin grey gesso/wash with new black wash/ highlite wwith soft white(accent)
light green=50/50 mix of mint julip grn/silver sage grn, watered down with wash mix
dark green= watered down blk forest grn
weapons kneepads= black-or black green,or blackink
visor= black ink
so far I have 7 1/300 zaku on  way aand 1 1/200 zaku

size comparison

Just a quick size comparison, mainly to show the Squamata Imperialis model from Critical Mass Games.
The squamata trooper is in a nice red jumpsuit, his companions are an Octopod from 15mmUK; a snake mercenary from Critical Mass Games; and an armored NSL trooper from GZG.

NSL WALKER camo test

first of 3 walkers for my mechanized infantry NSL force. walker is a 28mm model from Enigma games(oop). Scale figure is GZG NSL power armored trooper. My normal armored troops are grey fatigues with burgundy rose armor-matching the walker.
I think this makes a nice armored infantry support /scout mech.

Squad of GZG alien mercs

Hello, here is my first finished test squad of GZG's alien mercs. Consisting of 10 figures ( only 76 left to go !). These are the first
minis I have painted from GZG, and I am overwhelmed by their quality; barely any noticeable mold lines; full of character and detail. My only complaint would be that I wish they did not have goggles but bare faces- and that is only because I cant seem to paint goggles well.
I can think of a hundred uses for these guys, and wish they would crank out some more ,but I guess two packs is enough to give good variety. As I cant stand any of the GW fluff, I fought the tendency to make them 40k orks. My first thought was Mangalores from the Fifth Element, and that is how I envision my mercs, although in miniature terms a mangalore might end up looking like a khaki and olive drab blob. Hope you like them, still trying to harness the power of the camera and blogmachine. I am also quite excited to get the chance to peruse the beta of Gruntz, rules for 15mm scifi. I feel like I will start on some vehicles soon.
