Adventures in camo

This is a 10mm tank for my not storm trooper forces. Through use of simple urban camo scheme, I have made my model unrecognizeable....not sure but I think I like basic colors better.

GRUNTZ on a smaller scale

    Hello, just wanted to discuss a little about what I have been working on. Have been designing an add on for Gruntz .it is more of a campaign system for small scale gaming in the Gruntz setting of Heliopause. The working title is Outpost Security Force...or OSF for short. In it you will assume command of a small squad/ platoon of mercs responsible for providing security for a corporate outpost on a wild mining planet. 95% of the rules will be Gruntz, so ownership of Gruntz rules is necessary. It is primarily a solo campaign system, of man to man skirmish using the rich heliopause setting as a backdrop. There is character progression....and best of all...if it ever gets playable it will be a free download.

4 wasteland survivors

Hi , here are 4 wasteland survivors ....3 are from khurasan, 1 from GZG , I think. The beefcake guy has a head swap from GZG and a khurasan pulse rifle added...he used to be the not Conan  model....always liked playing fallout with a ridiculous close combat beast like that, rushing in beating everything to a pulp.

Wasteland stalkers,explorers

Next up is a squad of ten explorers,scavengers of the wasteland. These are a combo,made from GZG 

Gasmask head packs combined with khurasan Paraguayan squad from his Chaco wars range in historical minis. I really like the way these guys turned out, inspiration for this came from lead adventure minis range of post apocalyptic minis by ratnik.

So now I have at least one squad and two opponent squads for gaming wastelands..now I have to look at terrain

Cannibals of the wasteland

Just finished a warband for wastelands 3.0, 18 man unit of cannibal savages. These are from khurasan,basically painting whatever I find first when retrieving things from storage. Really fun figs to paint up...I think they look better with vaguely flesh colored skin instead of greenish. Why is the default for mutants always a greenish tint? Reminds me, I have some 2nd ed. Orcs I painted grey instead of green. At least now I have an opponent for some wastelands gaming, now I have two factions, robots,and cannibal savages. Next up is a squad of human stalker/explorers.

It's robots!

Hello, first post in over a year....had to give up my hobby room for my grandson's nursery....but now I am back.unloaded everything from storage and began painting. Decided to start on some projects for skirmish gaming, going to concentrate on post apocalyptic theme, using the great free rules wasteland 3.0 from dicehead. Just finished a 10 man warband of wasteland explorers, an 18 man band of cannibal savages, and a 23 unit group of aotomated robot warriors.

 First off, will be the robot war band.....currently not listed as an option in wastelands 3.0, but luckily I still have an early print version of the 2.0 rules....so,still a viable option. I can also use these as robot squad assets in grunts for my EHTC force. The figures are from critical mass games, blockhead battle suits...fun,easy paint ups,inspired by Elysium homeland security robots.

Hello, here again with some new 15mm orks....converted khurasan fantasy orc heads
with modern Taliban bodies. I kind of like how they turned out, will probably do  a few more.
so far 12 painted with 12 more on deck.

Hello, just finished 31 quar from zombiesmith..coincidentally as they announced a load of new 15mm quar models.
these are pretty small , but were fun to paint.


will definitely get more of these to paint up….trying to remember, but I think I chose to paint them based on WWII
Anzac uniforms.

15mm orks with guns

 

 

 

hello,
just finished 12 orks with guns, a minor conversion from khurasan. orcs are from their fantasy range, front rank  orc spearmen...added some loose AKs from their modern range..just a quick paint job and some cell phone pics. just wanted to see if it was a viable alternative source for 15 mm orcs.... I am contemplating buying wastelanders from the scene uk and giving them heads from this range.
I dont see why the scene doesn't just sell a pack of conversion ork heads

various new models for Strange Aeons

Hello, back with a few new models for 15mm Strange Aeons, all by Khurasan.
first pic has two octopod/hybrids
second pic has 3 fishmen/ hybrids
third pic has 3 robed cultists
and the fourth pic has a werewolf and a rather well dressed agent with sawed off shotgun.
the hybrids are all headswaps with shepartons gangster henchmen,deep one heads, octopod cultist heads.
the robed cultists are my first ever experiment with procreate....did all 3 in 30 minutes...had no fricken idea what i was doing. started with 3 khurasan gangster henchmen and just applied a thin gray stuff robe over them. easy to sculpt when you have a face ,hands, and weapon, and armature to begin with.
 I am moderately satisfied with the results, realizing that I have no skill, experience, or knowledge in sculpting.

Threshold agents for Strange Aeons

Hello, more goodies for 15 mm Strange Aeons today. This time some good guys; some characters, agents, and 3rd world trainees/cannon fodder. In the rules i will use the trainees as civilian stats. All the minis are from Brigade games line of 15mm adventurers. I really like this line, hope they expand it. My only gripe is wargamers bad luck; the one figure I wanted(guy with Fez, broom handle mauser, and a freakin monkey on his shoulder) I did not get....If anyone has an extra?
1) first are two male agents Texas Pete, 45 pistol lucky hat and bullwhip, and some chap with a shotgun
2)next are two curvy women agents with bolt action rifles, one in safari gear and jodpurs
the other in what appears to be a zouave uniform, painted khaki
3)also two sabre wielding 3rd world trainees with fez/turban...these will use civilian stats
I like these figures, lots of character....next just waiting on an order from Jon at Khurasan.

Cavemen for Strange Aeons

OK then, now I have 2 groups of Lurkers for Strange Aeons, in 15mm.
1) 6 zombies
2) 12 cavemen with melee weapons
 Just finished these 15 mm cavemen from Copplestone Castings(labelled as picts).
Wow, what fun to paint great sculpts with loads of character. Sorry for the picture quality, Just getting used to not using Picasa.
Next project, 6 Threshold agents from Brigade games; 2 men, 2 women; and 2 3rd world tainee agents(15mm adventurers) I was really bummed out that I got a duplicate and did not get the one figure I wanted...the fez wearing guy with the broom handle mauser and a monkey!!!
oh well here's the cavemen
